Industrial Weather G2 System

This Harvest solar powered Industrial Weather Station is located in the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo near the small airfield and mission hospital in the town of Mulongo.

It uses the Iridium Satellite network to send hourly weather data back to the Harvest servers. To the best of our knowledge it is the only functioning online weather station in the DR Congo - a country of 65 million people with a land area similar to the whole of Western Europe.

The weather station uses professional sensors such as Vaisala wind and Hydrological Services rain gauge. We can ship these units anywhere in the world in a FedEx 25Kg jumbo box. They are ideal for NGOs and mining companies who need good weather data for flights into remote areas. They will work anywhere on Earth with a clear view of the sky! Installation is very simple and takes less than 30 minutes.

Tuned Weather Forecasts
Harvest have joined with the MetService to offer tuned local weather forecasts. The MetService computers tune the weather forecast for your exact location based on the data from your Harvest automated weather station (AWS).

The forecasts give a seven day forecast with hourly estimates of wind, temperature and rainfall.

We can now remotely monitor Aquaflex soil moisture probes using our wireless Long Range Remotes (LRR) which have a typical range of 1-2km from the base station.

Control By Smartphone

We now offer remote control of pumps or other equipment using any computer or smartphone. This is not a text message which could arrive minutes or even hours later. This is online control with live status.
